Paisatges diaris tan sovint transitats com per passar sense adonar-me de res ni ningú. Fins que, inesperadament, un dia, a una hora exacta, una llum, un ambient, una atmosfera em fa aturar i contemplar, amb altres ulls, com mai abans havia vist, aquell escenari quotidià, portant-me després el record a acabar plasmant l’experiència en un llenç. Principalment formats menuts i mitjans en què, per descansar dels grans temes de figura, em recree ocasionalment retratant allò que em resulta familiar i viscut.

Urban landscapes traversed so often that I pass through them without noticing anything or anyone. Until, unexpectedly, one day, at a precise hour, a particular light, an atmosphere, a certain mood make me stop and contemplate that everyday setting with different eyes, as I have never seen it before, later carrying the memory with me until I eventually capture the experience on artwork. Primarily small and medium-sized formats in which, as a respite from the larger figurative works, I occasionally indulge in portraying that which is familiar to me and part of my lived experience.
