Banyistes a l’Estany n.2

Després de la sèrie tenebrosa, on impera una única figura solitària en cada obra, m’atrevisc amb composicions més complexes de diversos jóvens que interactuen entre sí. Captures d’instants banals d’un temps d’esbarjo i de compartir junts. Al mateix temps recupere la temàtica del paisatge, encara que siga en un paper secundari com a fons, resultant escenes de celebració de la joventut i l’amistat, i del diàleg i la connexió amb l’entorn natural que els acull i suporta.

Xicotet format, fet sobre fusta contraplacada preparada amb cola de conill i blanc d’Espanya, composició feta a partir de fons fotogràfic, dibuix de les figures quadriculat a llapis i pintura a l’oli clàssica per capes successives sobreposades.

After the Tenebrist Series, in which a single solitary figure dominates each work, I venture into more complex compositions featuring several young people interacting with one another. These are snapshots of ordinary moments spent relaxing and sharing time together. At the same time, I return to the subject of landscape, although it takes on a secondary role as a background, resulting in scenes that celebrate youth and friendship, as well as dialogue and connection with the natural environment that surrounds and supports them.

Small-format work, painted on plywood prepared with rabbit-skin glue and Spanish white (whiting). The composition is based on a photographic background, with the figures drawn using a squared-up pencil transfer, and traditional oil painting built up through successive overlapping layers.
